'Striped Trees Revealed through Black' No1 is a large vibrant modern abstract textural painting on wood.
The 'Revealed' Series is a lengthy process of combinations and layers.
Multiple layers of paint start with rich red, then handpainted white stripes, on a large wood panel. Movement of lines across the piece give interest and depth.
Then a free-hand pattern was created, covering and creating my trees. I use my own unique technique of glazing the piece in high gloss lacquer allowing the background lines to show through the glossy black, adding great depth and interest. The pattern of flowing trees is 'revealed.' The whole piece is covered in a high gloss lacquer for tremendous shine. The final step adds depth and texture to the piece when I outline the trees in a clear raised textural paint. A time intensive labor that creates a subtle but incredible affect.
It makes for a wonderfully dramatic, rich, and glossy one of a kind work of art!
The piece measures 24in x 48in and is ready to hang.
