Trees Revealed is a series of artworks that involve layers of color beneath high gloss black to reveal a beautiful pattern of trees.
The Trees intersect and carry from panel to panel with fluid motion.
I took 4 individual wood panels and painted each one with a blend of colors and layers. Each panel has a unique color predominant - Blue, Yellow, Green, Red. After layers of paint I sprayed each panel with a repellant then lacquer, creating an 'acid' effect. It really gives the color a lot of depth and impact.
Then I carefully protect the areas of my trees and then glaze the entire piece with black. Then I use my special technique for glazing the entire work in high gloss clear lacquer - for a marvelous shine!
The result is an incredible revelation - the rich and complex color of the trees revealed through black.
There are 4 panels, each measuring 24inx6in.
The panels come ready to hang. They can be hung together or separated with space.
Rich, complex, and intriguing. 'Trees Revealed' is a unique one of a kind created with my own conception and technique.
