This is part of a series of wonderfully colorful modern geometrics created entirely from recycled scraps of paper, books, magazines, junk-mail, reclaimed wood, and consumer packaging.
Each of the many pieces is hand-cut by me, individually applied and layered on wood, and completed with multiple layers of incredibly rich high gloss lacquer.
These works are extremely detailed and laborious ---but I love the energy and the boldness each present. This energy lures me to continue to cut tiny little scraps that represent pieces of life to me.
It reminds me that life is indeed complex but also wonderfully colorful and vibrant.
