"Lines and Angles 102"
102 Seperate Pieces of Wood Comprised to Make One Big Beautiful Wall Sculpture!
Lines and Angles is series of wall sculpture I created from recylced/repurposed builder wood scraps. Each piece is hand painted with layers of high quality acrylic paints.
Sean Scully is a favoriate artist of mine. His incredible use of stripes definitely influenced my experimentation in this series of stripes - taken to a new level with depth and texture created by teh 3d pieces.
This work seems SO much better to me in person than in photographs. You miss a lot of the depth and character in a flat photograph when really this piece has dynamic depth and character.

- then each piece lovingly hang glued and attached to a recycled piece of plywood painted to allow show of detail of colors.

I am really proud of this work ---it was very laborous and time intensive ---but I love the end result!
